LNG PLANT ENGINEER, PLANT TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
ENGINEERING
Yankee Gas, a member of the Northeast Utilities System, has the following positions available at its LNG Plant in Waterbury, CT.
LNG PLANT ENGINEER
Will plan, develop, schedule and perform engineering activities related to designing/budgeting capital investments and operating/maintaining plant equipment and related system interconnections. Will also provide expertise/support for LNG Truck off-loading, alarm/control response & diagnosis, liquefaction and NFPA 59A & CFR 193 code inspection/compliance. Duties include developing annual emergency scenarios to test plant emergency readiness; conducting audits to ensure compliance with LNG codes; serving as back-up for Gas Control & LNG Plant Managers; and acting as On-Call Supervisor as required. Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred), min 5 yrs related exp, and knowledge of process systems. Respond to REQ #R-06-02542
PLANT TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
Several rotating shift positions for indivs to provide tech support for LNG plant operations including LNG Truck off-loading, alarm/control response & diagnosis, vaporization, liquefaction, and NFPA 59 A & CFR 193 code inspection/ compliance. Require Associate's degree in tech area such as engineering, controls or computer technology, or equivalent and 4 to 6 yrs related exp. Exp in electrical/mechanical trades desired. Must be able to read piping/instrumentation diagrams. Respond to REQ #R-06-02541
ALL POSITIONS require knowledge of pipeline/distribution system operations, computer operations, and basic thermodynamics and cryogenics relative to LNG. The ability to meet Federal Operator requirements, analyze both normal & emergency situations, and initiate appropriate responses are essential.
