LAN/WAN ENG II

Job Description Employee will work with IP provisioners, International account teams, Order Management, International Operations, and directly with customers. Tests, activates, and configures IP interfaces for new and existing customers worldwide. Work on International Disconnect projects, Business Partner, Latin America, Asia Pacific and U.S Backhauls customer circuits/projects. Employee will be expected to work on International Managed services accounts and global disconnect projects.

Requirements


Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 3-5 years experience in IP installation. Fluency in Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean is extremely helpful. Cisco CCNA or equivalent for Juniper, other industry Networking,security and systems certifications desirable. Candidate must be willing to work in a 24 X 7 X 365 center environment. May be asked to work weekends and/or holiday hours. Prior experience with Verizon Business High Speed Activations desirable.

Serve as a Japanese translator; Verizon Business is required to have a language translator for all IP customer implementations in Japan. Act as the primary Engineer for all Japanese IP activations, and support activations in the Asia Pacific region. Assist with CPE (customer premise Equipment) coordination for the Asia Pacific region.
