LAN Support Specialist II

Provide LAN and personal computer support to IP facilities throughout the country. Under general to little direct supervision, provides second tier support to end-users for PC, server or mainframe applications and hardware. Troubleshoots LAN problems, assists in configuring and troubleshooting data, voice, and video systems. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Very capable technical position. Requires day-to-day management and break/fix work of desktops, servers, and LAN for all assigned facilities.
May act as the liaison into Information Technology second and third level support groups to assist in expediting the support process.
Reports and works with a regional manager or assigned team lead. Work with facility manager or site contact to set priorities.May manage vendor warranty and break/fix work. May assist in the desktop/server/LAN procurement process.
Maintain documentation for the facility, including inventory, ticket tracking, time tracking and assigned project work. Member of On-Call rotation and may require travel between supported sites and facilities.
Requires general to little direct supervision and capable of handling any routine to highly technical problem and demonstrates adequate to good communication skills.

Associate Degree in Information Systems or equivalent2+ years of related Information Systems experienceA+ certification preferredMCP preferredDeveloped in several competencies which include: Problem Solving, Action Oriented, Integrity & Trust, Listening, Learning on the Fly, Customer Focus, Priority Setting and AccuracyDemonstrated competence to work:
