LAN/Network Administrator & Network Engineer

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE CLEARANCE DO NOT APPLYCandidate shall operate, and update both secure and non-secure Automated Information System (AIS) in accordance with Federal statutes, DoD directives, and local directives and supervisory directives. The candidate shall provide network and MIS support to the following areas; Microsoft, MS/SQL, desktop/laptop computer installation, configuration and maintenance; LAN (secure and non-secure), DNS, IIS, Remedy trouble reporting, TCP/IP, ActiveX, Crystal Reports/Services, VS, SIPRNET, wireless, fiber, RF, and copper cable, high-speed classified data exchange, and Internet connectivity troubleshooting and support; internal file and data sharing, printing, permanent data storage, and access to other LAN resources; installation and maintenance of standard office automation tools and E-mail.
The candidate shall ensure the AIS system meets an operational availability factor of .98 (98%) or better, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

REQUIREMENTS
UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
Working knowledge of software management, network management, architecture upgrades, wireless deployment and installations. Significant experience configuring and troubleshooting systems, C/S applications, Data Transformation Services, SQL, and software distribution models.
AN ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED
* Current Secret security clearance (Single Scope Background Investigation higher), or within the past 24 months have had an active Secret security clearance* Previous military and/or defense contract experience in providing these information technology services REQUIRED.
* Formal training courses and/or certifications pertaining to these information technology services are a plus!* Knowledge of Windows Server systems, Microsoft Exchange 2000/5.5, Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0, Systems Management Server (SMS), WINS, DNS, all aspects of Windows Security, Windows workstations, and Microsoft Desktop products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, SQL 7.0/2000)* Qualified proficiency in network technologies to administer with Cabletron and Cisco network equipment, work groups and user accounts, various types of cabling, etc.* Knowledge of Teklogix Radio Frequency (RF) hardware and infrastructure to perform configuration and minor repairs as required.
Certification (MSCE, CCNA, etc.) are extremely favorable.
