Junior Security Analyst/Engineer

Purpose: Our client a financial institution in Johnston RI is looking for a Junior Security Engineer that is eventually looking to transition into a Senior role as a long term goal.

This individual on a daily basis would be responsible for servicing the Certification Management initiative. This individual would manage the certification process for an enterprise site under review. Along with being solicited from Security Architecture, and capable of identifying the control managers in support of the Essential Practices. This individual would be responsible for developing and communicating plans for the delivery of services, facilitate the delivery of services where necessary, monitor performance and costs of the service provider, work with the control managers to validate findings and develop a response to findings. Publish findings and our response to management. Perform E-mail Filter Checks (annually) and manage and track progress toward certification objectives. Report certification status to management.


Candidates should have 2+ years of job experience within an information security department, internal audit department, or quality assurance department. They should have training on security risk assessments and reporting, with security certification a plus. They must be detail-oriented, and able to work independently. At the same time, they must be able to take direction and leadership from the Principle Security Architect.

The successful candidate would be organized, and have good oral and written communication skills. Security experience or training is preferred, but not required. Over time, our client would expect the candidate to develop an understanding of the principles of information security.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
