Java Developer/Architect

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $90000 to $110000 per year Senior Developer / Technical Architect


A leading health enhancement company, is currently seeking a Senior Developer/Technical Architect to work on their product in its Manhattan office. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of the development life cycle, from requirements analysis, to design, implementation and release. The candidate will have an integral role in translating business requirements into functional specifications, responsible for development of major components while leveraging existing code and directing the site architecture.

Principal responsibilities:

Direct strategy, design and architecture of the site, working with product development team and management
Prepare technical requirements documentation derived from business requirements
Build or direct development of core framework for new components
Manage and review development team efforts
Work with project management office to report on team progress, identifying and reporting any issues affecting deliverables
Mentor and support the development of individual and team capabilities
Perform code reviews to ensure consistent development approach meeting established guidelines
Manage client integration issues with 3rd party developers and producers
Manage internal development processes to improve efficiency
