JAVA/J2EE/Architect/Sr. Developer * PEGA Experience

GENERAL:
•Responsible for the installation, upgrade support, technical consulting and product development/evaluation in a particular technical discipline, or in direct support of assigned business area. Involves application development, prototyping, modeling and high level technical consulting. Perform "what-if" analysis to simulate network stress test and survivability. Predict effects of configuration changes, identify applications bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance. Job requires Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; and five years of technical experience in the design, development, testing and deployment of a variety of technologies; and specialized training or certification in appropriate technologies (e.g. internet and intranet security, LAN and WAN technologies CCNA/CCNP, Java and OO, project management).
•Proposed Architecture activities., Development standards
•System design, environment requirements and source code control
•Implementation of Proof Of Concept with new tools or technologies.

IMPORTANT ADDITIOANL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Participates in Project Planning and Strategy
•Provides Project WBS, Schedules, and Estimates for Technical Resources
•Provides Coaching and Mentoring to Technical Resources
•Component level design.
•Leading detailed design and development activities at component level.
•Code Review to ensure that FM standards are followed.
•Support the component through Integration Test, System Test, Performance test and UAT.
•Mentor Technical Analysts and other team members
•Participate in:
•Use Case Reviews
•Project planning activities and Design Reviews
•RFPs
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED CRITICAL SKILLS:

2.PEGASystems Experience (esp PegaRULES Process Commander component of Pega BPM suite)

REQUIRED TECHINCAL SKILLS:
•J2EE - Servlet, EJB, JSP, Web Services (SOAP), XML, UML
•Frameworks - Struts, Spring, Junit
•Databases - IBM DB2, Sybase, Oracle, Data modeling, ANT
•Tools - Rational Rose, Eclipse, WSAD, WebLogic Application Server, HTTP Servers, WebMethods, IBM MQSeries, JProbe
•Platform: Unix

ADD-ONS:
•Experience with PegaRules Process Commander (PRPC) major plus. Experience working with mortgage based systems a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
•10 years software development experience
•5+ years J2EE Development experience
•3+ years as a Senior Developer, Expert in J2EE, Web, Web Services, Object Oriented Technologies
•Experience working on both Customer facing web applications and back end transactional applications with high transaction volumes
•Ability to work independently and produce results with vague requirements
•Experience working in a large team, developing solutions for large projects
•Experience providing technical direction and mentoring Senior Developers
•Research and prototype new technologies
•Document artifacts involved with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
