Instrument / Control Engineer

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Serving in a technical and project development lead role for planning, design and construction phase services for SCADA, instrumentation and control system projects for water and wastewater utilities.

Providing oversight of system integration, PLC programming and HMI configuration projects and personnel.

Projects include large scale SCADA system planning and design, system upgrades and replacements, system architecture development, P&ID development, instrument installation details, schematics, PLC one-lines, network diagrams, input/output schedules and instrument schedules.

The initial project assignment will include providing SCADA support for East Region I&C projects.

Developing relationships with clients and supporting business development activities, leading technical work and meetings, resolving I&C client issues, and supervising technical staff on projects.

Assist in a global capacity and provide support to EPC I&C projects and pursuits in Europe and Asia.

25% travel to client facilities in the local/east region vicinity.

Overseas travel intermittent but less than 10% required.
REQUIREMENTS
The preferred candidate will possess:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

At least 18 years experience in the planning, design, and construction phase support of water and wastewater SCADA and I&C projects is required.

At least 8 years experience serving in a technical lead role on projects.

System integration, and design-build experience is highly desirable.

Traditional and EPC proposal and bid preparation experience highly desirable.

Must be Registered as a Professional Engineer.

Experience with AutoCAD Preferred.

Microsoft Office required.
