Injection Molding Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with an outgoing personality to join our In-Mold Decorating Department (IMD). We are looking for a hands-on Injection Molding Engineer who has a proven track record in product/process development. This is a high profile position working closely with customers and internal professionals on various product development and projects. Injection mold processing experience is necessary.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
•Qualify, quote and develop IMD products:
oReview product designs to determine IMD feasibility and the best material selection and processing steps to produce an insert and molded product that meets customer appearance and performance specifications.
- Establish timelines and coordinate product launch activities through the use of project management tools (MS project, open items log, cost reports, etc.)
•Provide molded product and injection mold tool design input for best IMD processing.
•Provide injection processing knowledge for production molding process development.
•Trouble-shoot manufacturing and injection molding processes.
•Interact with customers (technical and business professionals)
•Must be self directed and willing to work as needed during critical segments of new product launches, including overtime, night shift support, and global support.
•Launch products through the APQP process and use statistical tools and control plans as the foundation of new product launches.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred education and experience:•Minimum of 5 years Injection Molding Processing experience
•Knowledge of various plastic decorating processes.
•Strong project engineering background
•Undergraduate degree in an appropriate engineering field
•3D CAD system experience preferred. MS excel, word, and project required.
•Six sigma quality tool experience.
•Lean manufacturing experience.
