Information Security Engineer II

Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Description: Designs and coordinates the implementation of the company’s Internet and network infrastructure security including: firewalls; intrusion detection systems; network monitoring; vulnerability scanning; encryption solutions; Internet proxies; and, e-mail content filtering. Designs and implements technologies that enable secure business growth particularly in the e-commerce area. Provides expertise to company-wide projects regarding infrastructure security solutions. Works with business areas, vendors and other systems professionals to identify, design and implement innovative security solutions. Designs and implements policies for firewalls, intrusion detection systems (network and host-based), vulnerability scanning, proxies and e-mail content filtering. Implements security standards and baselines as they relate to infrastructure security. Researches and keeps abreast of advancements in all security technologies that would benefit secure business growth. Develops procedures and provides monitoring and analysis of infrastructure security systems and tools. Provides on-call 24 X 7 support when required. Assists unit manager with the training and performance evaluations of unit personnel.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. Four to six years of Security Experience in Network and/or eCommerce Security. Must have four to six years of experience with intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, monitoring networks and encryption. Must have experience working in an information security focused area
CISSP strongly preferred; Other certifications a plus, including SANS.
