UI Designer / Engineer

Manage UI development efforts from product/feature conceptualization through prototyping, usability testing and implementation to ensure our results meet customer needs, business goals and project schedules.

Roles & Responsibilities
Work closely with a cross-functional team including Business users, Usability Engineers and Application Developers to create UI models, user task and
interaction flows, screen designs, user-interface interaction
details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
for various workflow tools.
Capture business, technology and design requirements accurately in a participatory, cooperative manner, working with a diverse team of stakeholders
Work with teams author and maintain UI standards documentation, including style guides, pattern libraries and other documentation.
Manage and provide direction for offshore resources in all of the above and perform QA on their work.
Work closely with usability engineer to better understand the user, test the usability of features and conceptual designs through the use of interactive prototypes
In addition to the above, this position will be responsible for occasionally supporting the community of Partner and Customer self-publishers using Interwoven Teamsite, survey administration, helpdesk problem resolution, and site feedback response and forwarding
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Ability to rapidly prototype interface designs in hand-coded validating, standards-compliant, and semantically-rich code and be aware of cross-browser compatibility and bugs.
Must have extensive demonstrated mastery of hand coding WC3 Standards compliant, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, XSLT, DHTML. JSP, ASP.Net Ajax and related web technologies and frameworks such as SiteMesh a strong plus.
Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate prototyping and design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, etc.
Understanding of application development lifecycle methodologies.
Knowledge of human factors and usability, best practices for interface design
Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams a must
