Executes tests cases according to established plans. Activities are conducted in accordance and compliance with New Century's Corporate Project Methodology (CPM) guidelines relating to IT, provisions of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), regulatory requirements and standards & procedures applicable.Strong skills needed in:SQL Query AnalyzerTransact SQL DMLSQL Enterprise ManagerStored Procedures, Tables, Views, Functions DTS Multi-tasking Sticking to proper QA processesModerate skills in:

Visual Source SafeEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Reviews requirements and design specifications
Creates test cases and test data
Analyzes and document test results, follow-up on outstanding issues
As needed, work closely with developers to understand and resolve issues
Helps maintain test environments
Utilizes QA tools (Query Analyzer, Visio, VSS).
Executes automated test scripts and build acceptance tests
Participates in peer review of test artifacts
Ability to make prudent decisions based upon clearly established guidelines, but know when to adapt and/or refer matters to senior staff for varying situations
Assists in mentoring other team members
Exhibits strong communication skills with all team members
Works independently and as a technical team memberBachelor's Degree (BS/BA) and 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is preferred. Must have 2-3 years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer working on ClientServer or WEB base applications.
