Conduct detailed technical analysis and design at the application level. Code new programs and provide enhancements to existing programs. Conduct unit, integrated, customer and regression testing. Gather and define the business requirements, in consultation with customer, including identification of inputs, outputs, process flow, screen designs, report layouts, etc. Research existing document and functionality to determine changes and impacts to existing system. Determine hours and resources needed to complete projects. Analyze current system function and processes; ensure correct merging of new functions and processes. Write and maintain technical documentation of program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections. Identify and document all appropriate technical analysis and design elements, including Functional Design Document (FDD) and/or prototype. Conduct functional and technical walk-throughs and obtain approvals as needed. Provide technical support and problem analysis/resolution for existing products. Assist users with applications questions or problems. Identify potential system impact areas, and coordinate resolution of functionality issues.Qualifications
Experience with complex distributed system software required. Working knowledge in most of the following web technologies: web servers (IIS, Apache), Application Servers (J2EE, XX1 Pass, Tomcat), Databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer), Network and Application Protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, ADO, ADS), Storage (SAN, iSCSI), and other system performance factors (Load-balancers, Cache and Proxy servers).Working experience with Network Performance analyzers such as Netmon and Application Vantage, Windows Performance Monitor, Identify BlackBox Performance and Troubleshooting tools, Linux/Unix tools, SQL Profiler, Concord, and WebTrends a plus. Solid experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production systems. Ability to understand complex interactions and look for causes and provide solutions.Experience with other performance tools: Visual Studio, Application Stress Tool, Microsoft ACT, and experience with Mercury Interactive’s LoadRunner helpful.
Ability to write and understand VB scripting a plus. Windows Administration experience a plus. Visio and Excel experience a plus.Strong statistical and analytical skill and mind set. Strong research, problem solving, and troubleshooting ability.
