Job Description:

Uniprise is currently seeking a senior-level individual responsible for software quality assurance in the Financial Systems Group. This ideal individual will have demonstrated an advanced level of understanding and application of software quality methods and techniques combined with a proven ability to execute to plan.

The person who will fill this position will be hands on testing. The people we are looking for are primarily AQ individuals, knowing methodology. Knowing mainframe technologies, not web oriented. This person will need to know how data is being stored on the back end.



Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software development lifecycle.
This is a MANUAL Testing position in a mainframe environment.
Work with users, systems analyst, designers and programmers to create/analyze required project documents and ensures that quality assurance processes are incorporated.
Participates in analysis and design walk throughs and project meetings.
Estimate quality assurance effort on approved projects.
Develop and implement efficient and effective testing strategy, test conditions and test scripts for approved projects.
Manage towards results, manage by process, manage with facts manage continuous process improvement.
Works with others through coaching and mentoring to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Works with project team to identify risks if quality assurance process is not followed.
Coach and assist with testing as needed.
Own and manage test environments and processes.
Work with process improvement teams to ensure effective process improvements are implemented.
Responsible to ensure process improvements are documented and incorporated in the quality assurance process.





Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications:
6 years of technical systems experience is required.
Formal training of Quality Assurance processes (CSTE or QAA certifications) is strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of testing processes - 3 years is required.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Training, supervision or management experience preferred.
Project management experience is preferred.
Experience in multiple platform is preferred.
Solid knowledge or experience in all phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle is required - 3 years is required.
Capable of leading team at a project level.
Demonstrated leadership qualities.

Excellent technical skills.
Flexibility to meet the challenges of an ever-changing environment.
Integrity and strong work ethic.
Extensive experience with QA testing tools: MS Access,Compare X,Endevor,EXCEL,File Aid DB2,File-Aid, Focus, , Jem, Load Runner, NDM/ FTP /Corporate Server, OmegaMon, QMF, SDSF, Spufi,Syncsort, Task Scheduler,Test Director,TSO, Win Runner,WinDiff
Experience with the following technologies/languages: COBOL,SQL, DB2,JCL,MVS, Oracle, SAS,TSO, Windows .NET, FTMF, CICS
