Represent Comcast point of view to external entities such as ARIN, NANOG, IETF and CableLabs, enunciating Comcast strategy for IP Addressing including IPv6
Work with various router and operating systems vendors as well as provisioning and telemetry vendors to ensure Comcast's IPv6 requirements are understood and inserted into product roadmaps
Define and articulate IPv6 requirements for server, router, CMTS, and cable modem devices including standards for testing
Define and work to implement IPv6 in Comcast's national service delivery network, backbone and provisioning and telemetry systems
Act as escalation point for all Tier IV address allocation issues. These include, but are not limited to the depletion of address space, assignment of regional aggregates and troubleshooting discrepancies of allocations on the network and in the provisioning system.
Act as escalation point in the support of Netcontrol, Comcast's Address Management system. Provide training and application support
Update the data model in the Address Management system as devices are being deployed or decommissioned. These updates also include the management of market/regional aggregates
Ensure address scope assignments are consistent with address aggregation strategy and ARIN utilization goals
Interact with ARIN through the submission of templates to ensure accurate registration records of all Comcast IP address resources
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer in, or a related field.
Experience:
Extensive IP Addressing experience including Ipv6 in a Service Provider environment including address classification and aggregation, AS numbering
Experience with large scale readdressing projects including resolution of RFC1918 overlap as related to mergers
One year experience and demonstrable knowledge of IP addressing fundamentals like subnetting, VLSM, and CIDR concepts
