Maintenance Engineer
We're seeking a professional to join us at our Geismar, LA site, 30 minutes outside Baton Rouge-and provide instrument and electrical engineering expertise in multiple chemical production units, while leading assigned instrument technician teams. Incumbent will be responsible for assuring the proper design, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and electrical equipment; managing the efficient use of manpower, tools, and equipment; supplying technical expertise to operations; administering processes and budgets; and executing small projects.

The successful candidate has a BS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering and broad knowledge of industry best practices for maintenance work, instrumentation and controls systems repair, electrical systems repair, and construction/installation. Skills with SAP or other computerized maintenance management system and distributed control systems such as Foxboro required. Competency in analytical thinking, team leadership and coaching essential; industrial experience in chemical plant I&E design/maintenance/operations desired.
