CH2M HILL’s Northeast Region is looking for a talented Hydrogeologist to join the environmental team which will be housed at our Charleston, West Virginia project location. This is a junior-level position which will be responsible for completing technical tasks associated with site management projects. These tasks will include a mixture of field work, data evaluation, and report writing responsibilities. Typical field work tasks include, but are not limited to: leading activities such as installation of monitoring wells, sampling various media (groundwater, soil, surface water, etc.), logging soil borings, completing field paperwork and documenting activities on site, directing subcontractors (drillers, sub-consultants, etc.). Typical office tasks include, but are limited to: putting together specifications for well installation, data analysis, interpretation, and manipulation, report writing and coordination of logistics for field efforts. Tasks will be performed under the guidance of a senior hydrogeologist. This position will consist of approximately 50-80% field work. Travel will vary significantly depending upon the assignment. On average a travel schedule of about 30% per year would be typical.

Basic Qualifications :
Qualified candidates will have a BS degree in Hydrogeology from a U.S accredited University and has the proper work authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
Candidate must also have a least one year of experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preferred candidates will have there BS and MS degree Hydrogeology with at least 1 year of experience in the field with an environmental consulting firm.
Candidates should be able to develop and run groundwater models and chemical fate and transport models, log soils, install borings/monitoring wells, write reports on field and modeling efforts, interpret field data, develop conceptual site models.
Strong writing skills, oral communication skills and effective listening skills are required.
Candidates should possess the attributes to become a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self starter that takes initiative and has a service mentality).
