Human Factors Engineering
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: *Assist in developing and maintaining a Human factors program plan for a new Power plant design.
Promote plans with regulators and customers.
Manage oversight of Human Science aspects of the plan execution.
Establish HFE design basis from reference plant data.
Analyze designs and plan results against regulator requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *BS degree in Human Factors Engineering, Engineering Psychology or related science.
Minimum 4+ years experience in human factors engineering and/or human reliability assessment of human-computer interfaces.
Experience in at least one of the following activities within the context of large-scale human-machine systems (power plants, petrochemical plants, etc).
Six Sigma green belt certification (GE Employees Only).Desired: *Experience with BWRs.
M.S. degree in Related Discipline.
4+ years of experience related to the human factors field of ergonomics.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification (GE Employees Only).
Design, Development, or test and evaluation.
Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.General: *Must be able to start immediately upon hire.
