Highway/Transportation Design Engineer

Position would include the design of, and supervision of individuals designing, projects for major highway and interstate improvements, interchange design, airports, bridges, and rail. Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis for roadway design and highway design. Responsibilities also include coordination of various engineering disciplines, and coordination with subconsultants and clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. A professional registration (P.E.) is preferred but not required. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A level of proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation is preferred.
