Hardware/Firmware Engineer - direct hire (431A-3329076b)

Our client has an immediate requirement for a seasoned Electronics Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity for the right candidate.


Description:

Participate in the design, implementation, review, documentation, productization, and support of embedded hardware, as well as designing and implementing firmware. Will program firmware and other components using the ''C'' programming language, specifically for board and component level testing. Other responsibilities include development of the documentation plan and the documentation for the hardware being designed. Some detailed architectural design and analysis will be required. The development of engineering and design verification test plans is also required. Will mentor both peer and junior engineers to assist them in solving complex problems.


Requirements:


BSEE or Computer Engineering degree plus minimum 3 years hardware development experience using 32/64 microprocessors, high speed digital circuits, clock rates in excess of 50 MHz in embedded designs.


Experience in the C Programming language strongly desired.


Working knowledge of CAE tools (Schematic capture, simulation, timing design, layout) required.


Working knowledge of PCB design techniques for EMC and signal integrity.


Knowledge of transmission line theory, termination design, line design.


Experience in the use of logic analyzers and high speed oscilloscopes.


Experience with hardware development concepts, practices and procedures.


PLD/FPGA design experience.


Knowledge of DFT/DFM methods.


Knowledge of design verification and stress testing.


Desire to learn and push the development envelope, willingness to take on strong challenges.
