HW/FPGA Engineer

In this position, you will be a member of the Post Silicon Engineering team of Low Power Intel® Architecture (IA) and Technologies Group and also part of a SV platform design team. You will be responsible for the development and support of several custom Field Programmable Gate-Array (FPGAs) which will be used to validate the next generation UMPC processor. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Defining and tracking the FPGA schedule
- Responsible for the coding of FPGA modules and the testing of those modules
- Designing, developing and testing FPGA modules used as part of system validation platforms
- This position requires relocation to Austin, Texas



job Requirements


You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design and FPGA design experience.
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge in PC system architecture
- Experience in Xilinx* FPGA design
- Proficiency in FPGA design flow
- Excellent VHDL debug skills
- Expertise in RTL design with VHDL and/or Verilog
- Knowledge of C, Perl, or other high-level programming language
- Working knowledge in UNIX* and Windows* XP*
- Knowledge of basic bus architecture and basic electronic circuit
- Good working knowledge of logic design
- Ability to design and debug state machines
- Experience with at least one simulation tool
- Ability to understand synthesis and static timing analysis flows and have experience using these tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
