HR Manager, PowerMax

OfficeMax is seeking a dynamic HR professional to direct the general development, administration, implementation and coordination of Human Resources activities, policies and practices to facilitate recruitment, training, retention and motivation of all associates.

Ensures the appropriate application and administration of Human Resources policies and practices. reports human resource related information to the Director, Human Resources, PowerMax Operations.



Evaluates recruitment activities to remain internally and externally competitive and to provide necessary staffing to meet distribution center goals and objectives.

Coordinates the administration of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plans in conjunction with the Director, Human Resources PowerMax.

Oversees equal employment opportunity, disciplinary actions, employee relations, counseling, and training to ensure the facility and Corporate objectives are achieved.

Coordinate all human resource issues with the Director, Human Resources PowerMax.

Develops/administers, in conjunction with the Director, Human Resources PowerMax, facility management staff programs fostering open communications to maintain and/or improving employee relations.

Ensure the timely and accurate reporting and reconciliation of payroll.

Completes weekly, monthly, and annual headcount and attrition advice for the facility and Corporate management.

Coordinates completion of annual performance reviews for the facility.

Maintains confidentiality.Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS




Bachelor's degree in business or human resources.



Three to four (3-4) years experience in human resources with emphasis in employee relations.

Demonstrated ability to communicate in a tactful yet firm manner with all levels of associates.

Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws with regard to regulatory requirements of private and public industry.

Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written format.

Flexibility to handle multiple projects/tasks and to meet deadlines.

General knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, Family Medical Leave Act and employee benefits.

Ability to analyze issues/situations and gather information to develop creative logical solutions.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
