ECOS is a small Colorado-based, full-service communications firm focused on natural history interpretation.

Position is fulltime eligible for benefits and profit sharing.

NO PHONE CALLS INQUIRIES OR IN-PERSON DROP-INS, PLEASE.

Responsible for computer production and graphic design for company projects. These include both 2D and 3D projects such as interpretive signs, exhibits, and signage, publications, among others. Takes the design lead on entire projects or discreet aspects of projects; works with Managing Directo/project designer(s) to conceive design direction(s) and decide upon production method(s). Plays a major role in keeping on top of design and production trends in digital technology. Requests production bids and follows up with vendors/suppliers to ensure quality and timeliness. Takes initiative for resolving layout and production problems. Keeps office computers in working order, and responds to needs of others in office for computer support. Teams with other staff in a high-energy, hard-working and rewarding environment.

OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Maintains a storage/archival system for all digital and reflective artwork.
Creates and organizes electronic backup files of current projects.
Manages digital storage and transfer needs.
Prepares marketing and conference display materials, including layout and production of special proposals and displays.
Lends an equal hand in day-to-day maintenance of a small office.
Helps to identify local vendors offering production related services at the highest quality and most competitive prices.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

Extremely proficient in Macintosh OSX.

Highly knowledgable with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress and with experience using them to prepare production-ready materials.

Several years of professional design and production experience necessary (environmental graphic design experience a plus).

Able to work under pressure in a deadline-driven, client-service-oriented environment.
Self-motivated; committed to high level of quality; attentive to details.

Team player - open and flexible, receptive to changing needs and demands, able to integrate easily into work group.

Experience managing several projects at once; able to estimate design and production time and then adhere to time budgeted.
