The Partner Solutions Organization is looking for exceptional Sales Engineers to work with highly strategic organizations to sign new partnerships. Google Sales Engineers work with the partner development team to drive technical account strategy, architect innovative solutions, and overcome technical obstacles to win strategic deals. Ideal candidates must have a strong software development background and detailed technical knowledge of ISPs and email messaging products. Candidates must also have excellent communications skills and extensive presales experience with large Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities:
•Gather technical requirements and determine how to best apply Google technology to address prospects’ business problems.
•Deliver articulate, effective, and audience-appropriate presentations and demonstrations that highlight Google products and technologies.
•Develop proof-of-concept products and software tools to assist in closing deals.
•Drive the technical deal signoff process with legal, engineering and finance teams.
•Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on improving existing products and developing new products.
•Write statements of work detailing product offerings and project deliverables and time frames.
Requirements:
•BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related major.
•5+ years of technical sales or field sales experience.
•Previous software engineering experience preferred.
•Proven track record of selling solutions to corporations.
•HTML, XML, and scripting programming experience.
•Knowledge of industry standards and practices related to messaging in general and SMTP and IMAP in particular.
•Knowledge of web technologies.
•Experience working in UNIX and Windows environments.
•Experience working with external clients in a sales environment.
•Ability to work independently.
•Strong written and spoken communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team development.
•Ability to interface with engineering teams.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
•Proven track record of solid project management.
•Ability to travel up to 35%.
