Global Process Safety Manager

1)Provide leadership, management and strategic oversight over global process safety function
2)Maintain function mission and an aligned direction with business leaders
3)Identify strategic capability gaps and implement resolution activities
4)Monitor and advocate on emerging issues
5)Facilitate and assure effectiveness of a team made up of manufacturing site process safety resources
6)Direct global standardization of best process safety practices7)Guide and develop process safety technical resources (direct and indirect)8)Assure legal requirements are met and that an effective audit process checks compliance with required internal and external programs
9)Manage function administrative activities (e.g. budgeting, performance mgmt)
REQUIREMENTS
1)BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
2)Process safety technical / management experience 5+ years
3)Leadership / supervisory experience 10+ years
4)Must be authorized to work in the US
5)International travel required as a condition of employment; between 15-20% domestic travel and 5% international travel
6)Solid understanding of process safety technical requirements and program management requirements
7)Proven project management skillsDESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
1)Multi-site influence / management experience
2)Experience with European (Seveso) or Asian process safety requirements
3)Process operations supervisory experience
