Global Network Services Manager

Job Summary:

Manage the implementation, administration, maintenance and operation of the company Global Network, which includes voice, video, and data networking services and solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of highly-skilled engineers for voice, video, and data network solutions.

• Manage voice operations team and provides guidance to data network operation team.

• Define service levels for network services and manage service agreements for provider contracts.

• Owns and accountable for all department task and projects.

• Responsible for budget and resource planning of department resources

• Performing capacity planning to assess and make recommendations for network improvements.

• Planning and recommending network services and solutions to the business. Manage the development of the architectures. Approving and modifying network design architectures to ensure compliance.

Report Structure:

Directly reports to the Director of Engineering Center of Excellence.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills and Experience:

· Strong technical skill set of infrastructure technologies.

· High level knowledge of data, voice, and video network technologies

· Complete knowledge of designing and implementing metropolitan and wide area networks in an international setting.

· Extensive experience with Cisco preferred, as well as proven expertise in trouble-shooting switched Ethernet networks.

· Thorough knowledge of networking standards, protocols and engineering tools, Internet and related technologies (e.g. load-balancers, SSLIPSec VPNs, IPS, etc.)

· Extensive knowledge of traditional telephony solutions (e.g PBX, Voicemail) with preference to Nortel and Avaya solutions.

· Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate to business representatives.

· Demonstrated experience in motivating and managing skilled technical network engineers.

· Demonstrated mature project management and coordination skill sets.


Education Requirements and/or Work Experience:

• Minimum of eight years network engineering and operations experience (Required)

• Minimum of four years managing network projects using standard project management methodologies. (Required)

• Minimum of five years experience in designing and implementing large IP enterprise networks. (Required)

• Minimum of four years experience in the above roles in a broad international setting (Desired).

• Experience managing and delivering multimedia services (streaming video and conferencing) and IPT (Desired).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Management or equivalent work experience.
