Geographic Information Systems Planner Salary range $30,000- $49,000 DOE Are you looking for a challenging position that provides a variety of duties? The Southwest Georgia Regional Development Center (RDC) is a multi-faceted planning and community development agency that serves 58 local governments in the area. We are currently recruiting a GIS Planner that will perform a wide array of GIS planning related activities. Candidates must be skilled with ESRI software. The 6,000 quare mile region encompasses fourteen counties with a population of 356,000. Primarily rural in character, the region provides year-round opportunities for outdoor recreation due to the mild winters. It is conveniently located only two hours from the Florida coast and three from Atlanta. The position will work closely with local and state officials, so excellent communication skills are necessary. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. Applicants must have a bachelor ;s degree in Geography, Planning or a closely related field. A master ;s degree is preferred.
