General Supervisor SXEW & Leaching

To direct and coordinate the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the SX-EW(Solvent Extraction and Electrowinning) plant facilities. To achieve and exceed production goals at the lowest possible cost in an environmentally sound manner. To ensure optimum copper recovery and high quality cathode production while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Supervise and direct the SX-EW Supervisors, Metallurgist Engineer's.
Monitor and direct day-to-day operations to ensure maximum throughput at optimum recovery and highest quality while maintaining the highest degree of safety and maintaining the lowest possible costs.
Monitor and direct mechanical and electrical maintenance of SX-EW Departmental equipment and facilities.
Implementing the Asarco Management System; maintaining proper procedures, ensuring adequate training, scheduling, inventories and supplies are maintained.
Prepare departmental budgets and forecasting.
Identify high cost areas and systems and develop plans to improve and eliminate problems.
Provide administrative support for payroll, work orders, process record keeping, absenteeism, MSHA safety training, accident reporting, safety inspections, SBI's, discipline, etc.
Provide product research/project management/oversight in the development and improvement of new concepts, equipment and metallurgy as related to the SXEW and leaching facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree, Metallurgical or Chemical Engineer required.
Extensive knowledge on the operational and metallurgical process of SX-EW and Leaching of copper minerals.
