General Manager – Mexico

Our client, an international growth company with gold mining activities around the globe, has an opening for a General Manager Mexico. The General Manager is responsible for the organization and management of the mine to meet the production and cost objectives established and for maintaining the working relationship with joint venture partners.
REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking candidates with the following skills:

1.A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible operating and management experience in the mining industry including both open pit and underground operations. Direct involvement with international operations/projects would be a plus.

2.Broad range of experience in the mining industry including developing new projects and expanding established operations.

3.A participative management style with the ability to develop and lead inside a team environment. A proven track record of leading and motivating a team to high levels of production, cost, health and safety and environmental quality.

4.Experience working in Mexico, South America or other foreign locations with an ability to manage and interact with people in diverse cultures. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is required.
