Gage Technician

Assurance Technologies, Inc. is the premier provider of metrology equipment and services in the Midwest. We are a distributor for the best in measurement equipment including MicroVu optical and video comparators, Newage hardness testers and Mitutoyo hand gages. As an ISO 17025 accredited company, our technicians calibrate equipment and gages at our new facility in Bartlett, Illinois and at our customer sites throughout the Midwest.We are currently seeking a Gage Technician to work in-house at our Bartlett location.Responsibilities include:
•Calibrate and repair measurement equipment per company procedures
•Complete Calibration Certificates, Inspection Reports and other paperwork as required
•Provide calibration quotations to customers based on their needs
•Contact customers to schedule calibrations
•Perform Dimensional Inspections on customer supplied parts
•Maintain database of customer records
•Assist in maintaining our Quality System & ISO 17025 accreditation
•Assist in ATI Internal Audits
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Requirements:
•Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
•Experience in a gage calibration or inspection environment
•Good Communication Skills (oral and written)
•An understanding of math, science & computers
•Excellent organizational skills and detailed record keeping
•Experience in the calibration and/or use of the following
Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Height Gages, Ring Gages, Gage Pins, Surface Plates, Thread Gages, Torque Tools, Force Gages, Optical/Video Comparators, Harness Testers or CMMsDesirable:
•Experience with ISO 17025, ISO 9000 or TS-16949
•Experience with GD&T
•Experience with Dimensional Inspection
•Experience with SPC
