Graphical User Interface Application Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 6 months

Technically lead the design and development of the graphical user interface application software for client’s next generation consumer electronics products. The candidate will bring a strong background in the GUI development to determine the best language, technique and tools to efficiently achieve the program and product goals. Responsibilities include defining the GUI application requirements, developing preliminary and detailed design, coding, unit test, and executing successful software system integration. The candidate will follow a formal software development process toward the successful completion of project.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
· BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

· 10+ years of hands on GUI design and development experience

· Excellent knowledge of C++, Java, JNI, Java Beans and Java Script

· Good knowledge of XML, HTML, RMI, SNMP and SMTP protocols

· Excellent knowledge file system interface and socket level programming

· Must have GUI development experience on embedded Linux platform

· Must have GUI development experience on XServer

· Good knowledge of OOD and Design Pattern

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Experience with the following is a plus:UML and Rational Rose design toolsDVR, PVR, Video on demand
