JMT IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINED CONSULTING ENGINEERING FIRM RANKED #156 ON ENR'S LIST OF TOP 500 DESIGN FIRMS. WE ARE SEEKING GIS TECHNICIANS FOR OUR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION IN OUR SPARKS, MD OFFICE.
KNOWLEDGE OF FUNDAMENTAL GIS AND MAPPING CONCEPTS REQUIRED. EXPERIENCE WITH ESRI DESKTOP MAPPING SOFTWARE IS DESIRED. GOOD INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS AND THE ABILITY TO WORK AS PART OF A TEAM A MUST. FIELD ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE REQUIRED. THIS IS A FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY POSITION WITH POTENTIAL FOR FULL-TIME PERMANENT POSITION.
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS A 2 YEAR DEGREE AT A MINIMUM, 4 YEAR DEGREE DESIRED, IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES: GEOGRAPHY, PLANNING, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OR OTHER RELATED DISCIPLINE. RELEVANT COURSEWORK IN GIS, GEOGRAPHY AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT IS RECOMMENDED. A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR EMPLOYMENT OR EQUIVALENT ACADEMIC/INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE DESIRED.
