Chartered in 1746, and known as the College of New Jersey until 1896, it was British North America's fourth college.Position Summary: The Facilities organization of Princeton University charge includes planning of the physical aspects and layout of the campus; designing and constructing the buildings and supporting infrastructure, operating/maintaining/altering those facilities; and, managing the non-academic real estate; student, faculty and staff housing; food services; and, conference activities. Administrative Services is one of the twelve major functional units reporting to the Vice President for Facilities. Within Administrative Services there are five functional areas of: Business & Finance, Contract Administration, Geographic Information Systems, Information Technology and Materials Management. The SPMIS Database Analyst position is one of the three positions reporting directly to the GIS - Geographic Information Systems Manager. Primary focus of this position is the development and maintenance of all data related to the University Space and Property Management Information System also called SPMIS. This information includes documents, drawings, maps, digital and analog data and all the related databases. Responsibilities of this position are to provide the University and the Facilities Organization with CAD (Computer Aided Design), CIFM (Computer Integrated Management) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) knowledge and support.Job Function: Systems ProfessionalGrade: AIT 030Standard Hours: 36.25Eligible for Overtime: NoJob Requirements
Essential Qualifications: Position requires: Architectural or Engineering College degree, at the Associates level or proven working equivalent experience; three years experience in an architectural, engineering or planning office, resulting in a sound knowledge of working drawings and architectural graphic conventions. Excellent customer and organizational skills; ability to conduct and direct effective meetings with diplomacy and tact; ability to prepare and present oral and written reports, findings, and recommendations. Proven knowledge and working experience of ESRI and AutoCAD software; general comprehension of hardware, software, networks, and systems; working knowledge of Microsoft business environment; general knowledge of WEB applications and editors such as FrontPage; general knowledge of relational database environment. The final candidate will be required to successfully pass a background check.Education Required: Associate's Degree
