We are committed to making a difference in these critical areas by providing technical services that solve such global challenges.JOB SUMMARY: The GIS Development Manager is a skilled GIS professional who has a combination of technical, managerial and marketing experience to identify and meet client needs, manage projects, supervise and mentor staff, and assist with the development of the technology team. Candidates will also be responsible for pursuing GIS opportunities in conjunction with other corporate business interests, participate in system architecture design and configuration, provide product and platform evaluation from the userâ?Ts perspective, and design, test, and implement map-based web content requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Lead or participate in cross-functional enterprise application development, including requirements analysis, design, modeling, implementation, support, planning, budgeting, documentation, and training.
Identify and define GIS software tools to streamline data production, migration and maintenance using the ESRI ArcSDE and/or Oracle Spatial platforms.
Support development processes, procedures, and work programs in support of the corporate GIS, specifically with respect to business development and marketing.

REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and 2 years experience in all aspects of project management are required.

Strong communication skills are essential.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as databases, field notes, and/or tables. Ability to search for pertinent facts and data, analyze and evaluate information, and form accurate conclusions. Ability to speak effectively with other employees and clients.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
