Full Time Community Service Director

Community Services Director. Full-time position with excellent benefits. Applicant should possess a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering management or a related field. A minimum of five years progressively responsible leadership experience in a municipal agency, with a minimum of three years of administrative and supervisory responsibility is required. Background should include strong administrative and supervisory experience, computer knowledge, and knowledge of current public works and engineering practices and relevant laws. Under general administrative direction of the city manager, performs a wide variety of professional, administrative, supervisory, and specialized duties, which require accuracy, proficiency, confidentiality, and limited independent judgment in development, projects, and programs. Works in conjunction with the community development director to organize and plan the capital improvement program. Fulfills the duties of administrative official as set forth in the Pleasant Hill Code of Ordinances. Supervises staff, including training and evaluation of subordinates. The director will be a pivotal member of the city s management team, and will oversee a full-service department (wastewater, fleet management, streets, grounds, and buildings, and public works administration). Assures compliance with federal, state, and local codes, standards, and contractual provisions. Performs other duties as required. Pre-employment physical and drug screen required. Salary range $60,000 - $ 70,000 annually, dependant upon qualifications.
