Freelance Audiovisual Engineer / Programmer
Freelance Audiovisual Engineer/ProgrammerWe are seeking a freelance Audiovisual Engineer / Programmer to provide a combination of design, programming, project management, customer service and technical analysis.Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Formulate client system requirements and detailed specifications
•Create system designs, including written scopes of work with materials lists, system design drawings
•Interpret architectural and engineering documentation
•Coordinate/communicate pertinent system requirements to integration team
•Prepare equipment installation schematics diagrams using AutoCAD or Visio
•Perform project management tasks including costs estimating, field installation oversight, post installation follow-up
•Provide engineering support to the sales team
•Provide technical training and assistance to client for use and maintenance
•Trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems
•Program Crestron and AMX control systems for commercial applicationsQualifications include (but are not limited to):
•CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) preferred
•Minimum of 3 years experience of AV systems design and engineering
•Minimum 5 years of experience and hands on installation support is also required
•Proven skills in trouble-shooting and testing A/V conference room equipment
•AutoCAD or Visio drafting experience
•Experience downloading software and operating Crestron/AMX Control systems
•Knowledge of Audio DSP configuration (Clearone or Polycom)
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Ability to work on the engineering of several simultaneous projects
•Proven ability to focus on details
•Demonstrable multi-tasking ability
•Clean, safe driving record must be maintained at all times
•Ability to travel to client’s sites as neededApplicants should be able to discuss examples of completed projects and provide three positive business references.
