Job Summary:
1. Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving complex engineering problems, and in developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
2. Responsible for an important segment of the engineering program with extensive and diversified engineering requirements.
3. Independently conceives, plans, and conducts research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity. Is a recognized leader and authority in an area of specialization. Conceives and plans investigations of broad areas of considerable importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the overall engineering program. Is consulted extensively by associates and others, as a recognized authority within the field.
4. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements.5. Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field and other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of the company product.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.Experience Required:
1. BSME or BSAE or equivalent2. Minimum of ten (10) years in flight controls or fifteen (15) years engineering experience with broad experience in several technical disciplines.3. The Flight Controls technical specialist position requires a person who will use education, experience, creativity and engineering judgment to design flight controls systems, perform analysis, generate system requirements, generate drawings, generate specifications, and interface with production/service centers, and partners/vendors.4. Candidate will use CATIA and other various software packages for design/analysis work.5. Candidate must possess strong problem solving skills and multi-tasking. Candidate must be able to react quickly to support aircraft build cycle.
6. Flexibility to perform tasks for other mechanical systems group i.e- Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Wheels and brakes, etc would be a distinct advantage.Job Requirements
