Field Service Technicians & Field Service Engineers

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret auxiliary equipment assembly layouts and schematics to assist in the installation of auxiliary equipment on printing press systems.

• Experience with Dryers and/or Splicers

• Troubleshoot hardware and software failures as well as process related issues. Recommend improvements. Interact with Engineering to resolve issues on process for the offset printing industry.

• Determine or diagnose unusual conditions, improper operations and/or defective material during installation. Take necessary action to trouble-shoot or repair.

• Operate a wide variety of electrical instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, chart recorders, and AMP clamp probes.

• Operate power and precision measuring instruments such as bench drill, electric grinders, spot welders, indicators, and gauges.

• Prepare field service report after each installation or service call.

• Work closely with outside contractors, customers, and management to resolve electrical or mechanical problems.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS

• Thorough knowledge of electronics equal to 2 years of college.

• Working knowledge of PC Hardware/Software applications and accessories.

• Ability to use hand tools and test instruments while working on equipment.

• Minimum 5 years experience with service or maintenance of industrial equipment.
