Our business is experiencing a period of sustained growth, and we have an immediate need to add a significant number of field resources in our service organization throughout the United States.In this role, the Field Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the X-Ray Diagnostic Imaging equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.Responsibilities include:
Completing Preventative Maintenance on designated equipment
Managing repair parts cycle times
Performing Functional Management Inspections
Maintaining customer service logs and internal service records
Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction
Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated
Meeting Health and Human Services and Environment Health and Safety requirements
Managing vendors service delivery processes in compliance with GE Healthcare policies
Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducting root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving
Participating in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs
Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts with assigned area
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering Technology), equivalent military education or Associates Degree with 6 years applicable experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and 12+ years applicable experience.
Willingness to work out of a home-based office located within the Milwaukee, WI area.
You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history and educational background.
Willingness to relocate to the specific location of the open position.
Willingness to travel locally in the field 3-4 days per week within the specified geographic region (very minimal overnight stays)
Willingness to take a drug test
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Willingness to work out of a home-based office located within the specified metropolitan area
Must have a valid driver's license
To the extent you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving recordDesired: *Experience with Siemens or Philips X- Ray equipment
Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner
Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process
Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment in the Healthcare Industry
Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
Exceptional interpersonal skills

These trainings are tracked and monitored to assure that all of Global Service is compliant with Quality Regulations and EHS Requirements.
