Field Service Engineer-Radiation Therapy-Accelerator

Field Service EngineerWe are currently looking for Field Engineer/Electronic Technician to join a team of professionals and assist with our sophisticated Radiation Therapy systems using your skills and experience as a Field Service Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair of Linear Accelerator technology and associated hardware including power systems with RF amplifiers, X-Ray generators and Digital imaging systems.
Maintain and repair of Varian and Siemens linear accelerators, performing preventive maintenance Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and annually on Varian Clinacs or Siemens MD2, KD2 and Primus Linear Accelerators.
You will work with vacuum systems, including Hi-vac and reduced pressure chambers, leak checking and Cryogenic maintenance.
Working around high voltage as well as repairing high voltage constant current power supplies.
AC/DC circuits and power distribution, robot calibration and alignment, including motors steppers and servo's, electro-mechanical controls including conveyers, belt drives, gear driven systems.Working in focus teams to solve technical issues and common problems.
Participate in Radiation safety training as well as emergency response training including CPR, use of respirators and gas detection equipment. Troubleshoot and Repair of test equipment; X-Ray detectors, Digital/Analog meters, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic probes, temperature probes, vacuum pumps, helium leak checkers.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Qualifications: Ideally speaking, we are looking for Field Engineer with a recent background from the Navy or Army with Radar/RF/Microwave or Fire Control or from a Medical Field Service (Radiology or Biomedical Systems) enviroment. Strong electrical and electronics training and experience.Must possess good communication skills to accurately report system anomalies in the prescribed manner.Must be proficient with PC applications, databases or computerized systems including but not limited to, the maintenance database, time card program and email communication.Education and Technical Background: AAS or technical certificate preferred, Military training (Great Lakes) OR Biomed program a plus.
Good trouble-shooting skills and mechanical aptitude is essential.Must perform accurate data entry into company information systems including but not limited to, the maintenance database, time card program, and email.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
