Field Product Development Engineer - GPSThe Field Product Development Engineer fulfills the role of directing the field qualification of company's agricultural products.Review and qualification of new and/or enhanced software, hardware, and system installations, including hydraulic systems, are within the Field Development Engineer’s scope of work.Development of installation instructions, tools, and training of Field Application Engineers are also the responsibility of the FDE.The Field Development Engineer works with the Controls Engineer and Systems Engineers to develop and execute Alpha testing activities.The FDE also works with development partners to qualify platform variations on existing installations.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires:
• 3-7 years of product testing experience of complex systems, at both the developmental and pre-production levels.• Experience with completing product documentation including test procedures, test reports, and installation instructions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with engineers, dealer personnel, Marketing staff, and customers.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, including working to deadlines and resolving conflicting priorities.• Hands-on experience with automotive, agricultural, or construction equipment operation.• Experience with designing hydraulics systems on ground vehicles a plus.
• Experience in installing, operating, and trouble shooting GPS products a plus.
• BSME, BSAgrEngr, or equivalent 4-year technical degree
