Position Summary, Scope of Position
Sonic Solutions is seeking a Field Application Engineer with DHTML Programming and DVD Authoring Experience to join our offices in Burbank, CA. You will be a key member of the team supporting customers using Sonic's Professional High Definition authoring tools for HD DVD. If you want to work on the cutting edge of authoring and help shape the future of interactive content, this is your opportunity.

The position primarily involves support of Sonic's Scenarist HD DVD suite of tools, and will involve a thorough understanding of the HD DVD Standard Content and Advanced Content standards.

The individual must be an excellent problem solver and an outstanding communicator with impeccable customer relations, as the position involves frequent visits to customer sites.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Support Sonic's Professional Customers using Scenarist SCA and Scenarist ACA
•Develop unmatched expertise in the inner workings of Sonic's HD DVD tools
•Develop applications and enhanced features using iHD Markup (XML) and iHDScript (ECMAScript)
•Read, critique and verify technology standards and specifications
•Write technical support articles and articles detailing best practices for HD DVD authoring.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements and Skills Necessary for the Position:
Technical:
•2+ years industry experience in a customer service or technical support role
•2+ years industry experience developing web applications using HTML and JavaScript
•Knowledge of XML document design, XML Schema and XPath queries
•Understanding of entertainment oriented software design advantageous.

•Strong object oriented design and implementation experience
•Working knowledge of existing DVD standards, development, and technology beneficial
