Department Description: The Software Engineering department in Andover develops embedded software, system software, management software, and other software applications for a Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) network which offers triple play services (voice, data, video).

Responsibilities/Expectations: Manage the efforts of software engineers in the development of embedded software releases for a broadband access system which offers triple play services (voice, data, and video). Product responsibility includes Core Access System (Optical Line Terminal), and Customer Premise Equipment (Optical Network Terminal). Develop project plans and schedules for software development, and effectively track and manage project teams to plan. Contribute to quality processes and interface with team leads form other disciplines, including product management, hardware engineering, system test, as well as third party supplies and development partners. Effectively communicate to coach and motivate team members to achieve high levels of performance. ^^

Knowledge Skills: Skills
- BSCS/BSCE or related degree
- 10+ years experience in project management of embedded software development in a wireline telecom access environment/product family
Strong project management background with expertise in requirements and risk management, and resource and project planning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing multiple projects within a team
Experience in VoIP architectures as well as Layer 2 Ethernet and Layer 3 IP networking standards
Development experience within a TL9000 and SEI CMM quality framework a plus
