FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
John Crane is the acknowledged world leader in specialized market of Dry Gas Seals installed in Industrial Centrifugal Compressors. These highly engineered products have unlimited operating life but are routinely serviced during scheduled maintenance events. Refurbishment of the product is completed at specialized refurbishment facilities located in the US and Latin America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Visit Customer installations throughout US/Canada/Latin America for the following:

Communicate and plan service jobs
Install Dry Gas Seals
Remove Dry Gas Seals
Attend equipment start up
Liaison with repair facility
Perform emergency field repairs
Perform site seal inspections
Perform site inventory checks
Prepare site visit reports
Perform customer training

In association with other John Crane Inc. personnel:Make recommendations to improve seal operating life
Participate in customer witness repair activities
Participate in failure analysis with customers
Provide technical support
Communicate customer needs and expedite jobs
Work on service improvement projects
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY:
A Mechanical Engineering Degree and 5+ years experience. Must have prior experience with turbomachinery (compressors and turbines).
