Excitation Controls Systems Engineer
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Responsible for reviewing ITO provided technical documentation and accepting orders for OTR execution on large/key projects.
Responsible for generating the system software to meet customer requirements and properly operate the excitation system on large/key projects.
Responsible for reviewing customer/field supplied generator design data for accuracy.
Responsible for technical support to Project managers, attending customer phone conferences.
Responsible organizing and conducting Factory Acceptance Tests with customers.
Effective in resolving hardware/software issues for both system commissioning/running units.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: BS Engineering Degree and minimum of 10 years experience in generator excitation system design and/or field experience.
Excellent PC skills are essential.
Must have a working knowledge of the design of vintage GE Excitation Control products.Desired: Blackbelt Certification (GE Employees only).
Masters Degree.
Multiple Language Skills.
Knowledge of Salem COE systems used for software development.
Must be able juggle priorities meet commitments, maintain a schedule in a matrix environment, possess good facilitation skills
