Purpose:
Exchange System Engineer

This person will be responsible for performing messaging system administration in a clustered Exchange environment. This includes system administration, troubleshooting, and working directly with Exchange administrators in support of critical messaging systems. The preferred candidate will have experience in the following:

Public Folders design, administration, and support
MOM configuration and support
OWA administration and support
Experience supporting clustered Exchange servers

The preferred candidate will also have an MCSA 2003 certification with an Exchange focus and at least four years of hands-on Microsoft Exchange support in a large environment.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements of System Engineer:
Windows cluster administration.
Exchange administration in a clustered environment.
RIM Blackberry Enterprise Server administration
OWA administration.
Anti-virus application administration.
Public Folders design administration, and support
Microsoft MOM 2005
Anti-spam application administration.
Active Directory administration
Configure monitoring of messaging systems to maintain high availability and stability.
Analyze and implement messaging security based on industry best practices.
Document procedures and processes.
Evaluate new messaging technologies.
Generate reports from information gathered from metrics.
Perform analysis of company messaging needs and contribute to design and implementation of appropriate solutions.
Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose messaging system problems.
Prepare and maintain documentation of messaging system configuration and layout.
Develop and recommend strategies for messaging growth, security, and enhancements by maximizing functionality of messaging servers.
Look for and implement ways to streamline the department's processes.

Must be able to work both independently and in a cross-company team environment and be able to interact effectively with other team members, management and clients. Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Requires a customer focused orientation and competence in response to customers, management, vendors, and coworkers. The successful candidate must be "on call 24 x 7" to troubleshoot system problems and malfunctions. Requires participation in the departmental duty pager rotation schedule.
