Estimator Job - Excellent opportunity for a SENIOR ESTIMATING SPECIALIST for a highly regarded firm in eastern Texas. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and Minimum 8 to 10 years overall experience in project controls including 5 to 8 years experience focused in estimating and professional membership in PMI, AACE or equivalent and PMP or AACE certification (or demonstration of pursuit of certification) is a plus. Must be proficient in project cost estimating methodology; quantity surveying; construction practices, including shut-down/turn around/revamp estimating; project cost management and project cost tracking methodology; project schedule management; estimating tools; Icarus 2000 & IPM; contingency and risk analysis techniques; and knowledgeable of accounting, procurement, and construction Change Order processes.
Position will prepare cost estimates for capital and expense projects and apply established cost estimating practices to ensure estimates are realistic and reflect the defined project scope. Will develop estimates to evaluate various conceptual alternates and support economic evaluations; use historical data with appropriate installation factors, site specific factors and experience to produce cost estimates; collect and correlate necessary project-related cost and schedule data needed to determine equipment, material, subcontract, construction labor, expenses, and such indirects as engineering, taxes, etc.; participate in estimate reviews with project teams to ensure scope consistency; evaluate project deviations to provide data to project steering team for proper decision making; and work with cost management to assure alignment between estimate and cost management baselines.Generous package includes excellent salary based on experience, benefits, and relocation.
