Equipment Engineer

The successful candidate will improve plant operations through the design, selection and procurement of process equipment. The Equipment Engineer shall research process equipment requirements through in-plant discussions, establish technical requirements, prepare written specifications and contact the appropriate vendors. Additional duties include equipment and general facilities layout, equipment troubleshooting, project management, and other duties as directed.
REQUIREMENTS
Required skills and experience includes:
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering field
- Strong mechanical aptitude relating to equipment
- Refined written and oral communication skills
- CAD and basic computer knowledge (MS Office Suite)
- Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits, design and application of controls
- Project management experience

Preferred skills and experience includes:
- Experience with the design and/or application of welding equipment
- Management of capital projects
- Knowledge of web-handling equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics and handling
- Knowledge of vacuum systems, electrical test systems,equipment design and installation
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering and equipment sizing
