Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Purpose: A local pharmaceutical company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for its San Diego office.

Applicants will responsible for coordinating on-site hazardous waste programs, safety programs, and lab/facility compliance audits. In addition, candidates will be writing E H & S programs as well as performing safety training. Applicants will be participating in incident spills and spill response activities. Candidates must have a B. S. in a related field and 3 years of experience within the Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry. Experience in Pilot Plant Safety and Process Hazard Analysis is a plus. Applicants must have a solid written and communication skills, must also have hazwoper certification. This is a long term position and the salary is based on experience.
