The Opportunity -RMT, Inc. is a leading environmental and engineering consulting firm in the country, ranked 64th by Engineering News Record in 2005. We have been helping our clients solve their most difficult and diverse engineering and environmental challenges for over 25 years. With over 550 employees in eighteen offices in the United States and two international locations, we currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Engineer/Scientist in our Madison, WI office.


The Position -Provide technical support in the execution of work in the areas of environmental compliance, environmental reporting, environmental compliance auditing, Process Safety Management, mergers and acquisition. This position requires knowledge of a broad spectrum of environmental laws and regulations including, but not limited to the following: RCRA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, and EPCRA.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements -Qualified candidates will have a BS in Sciences, Environmental or Chemical Engineering with 1 to 6 years of similar experience in consulting, industry or a regulatory agency. Prior experience with an environmental consulting firm preferred. Must be able to work independently on small projects and assist project managers in coordinating/delegating work from other project staff on larger projects. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and actively work on multiple projects. May provide support of remediation, solid waste, energy or related environmental projects. May require extended fieldwork away from home area. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is required along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of health and safety compliance is a plus.
